Purpose: Provide leadership, planning, management
and organizational skills to complete tasks and projects with
one or more crews.
Job Responsibilities
- Instruct, manage and lead crews in industry safety rules and
regulations and best practices.
- Develop thorough understanding of project needs and goals
by reading and interpreting blueprints and by consulting Top
Management.
- Identify all project requirements such as equipment, manpower
and materials, and coordinate with Top Management and Purchaser.
- Organize and assign work to achieve quality product as bid
within project budget and timeline. Responsible for accurate
records.
- Direct crew in project while participating in the work; provide
appropriate and company documentation of work performed.
- Schedule and direct the work of subcontractors.
- Obtain paychecks from Bookkeeping and biweekly distribute
to employees under their direct supervision. Make recommendations
for raises and growth opportunities for personnel.
- Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the general
contractor or owner through quality work, joint planning and
communication.
- Obtain contractor signatures for extra work authorization.
Represent company at walkthroughs/handoffs on assigned projects.

- Balance effective planning and execution of project tasks
and goals using consistent leadership of team.
- Versatile problem solving techniques for diverse issues.
Freedom to Act
- Report to & coordinate project with Top Management.
- Communicate any issues to Top Management concerning performance
of any crew member. Top Management will conduct any disciplinary
action if required.
- Independently assign and organize work for crew members.
- Report accidents to Administration.
Scope
- Diverse projects from residential to multi-family to commercial.
- Geographical range typically the Front Range, Castle Rock
to Loveland, and west to Vail.
Work Environment
- Work is primarily outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
Paperwork is completed in the company office.
- Work is primarily Monday - Friday. Hours are subject to change
with weather conditions and work load. Overtime is common Spring
- Fall.

Qualifications for the Position
- 3 years experience in landscape construction techniques.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and safety rules and
regulations.
- Crew leader for at least one year under the supervision of
a foreman.
- Proficient with broad range of equipment commonly used in
landscape construction work.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Valid Colorado driver's license and social security card.
If not a United States citizen, must additionally have a valid
visa or work permit.
