Opportunity: Irrigation Laborer |
Purpose: This person provides physical labor
required to perform basic irrigation construction and maintenance
duties for landscaping.
Job Responsibilities
- Work on well-defined, routine tasks under the supervision
of an assistant foreman, foreman, or project manager.
- Work on tasks planned, scheduled, and assigned by others.
- Communicate task results and issues in a timely manner as
required.
- Contribute through a team effort.
- Specific responsibilities defined by supervisor and subject
to change.
Principal Problems/Challenges
- Gain knowledge in the procedures and the tools required to
support them. Produce high quality work.
Freedom to Act
- Work supervised daily and reviewed daily, must accept direction
well.
- No independent action or decision-making authority.
- Work within approved standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Supervisor completely responsible for individual's time and
assignments.
- Observe all safety practices. Report all injuries to supervisor
immediately.
Scope
- Individual able to perform well-defined tasks.
- Geographical area is typically the Front Range, Castle Rock
to Loveland, and west to Vail.
Work Environment
- Work is outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
- Work is primarily Monday - Friday; hours are subject to change
with weather conditions and work load. Overtime is common Spring
- Fall.
- Snow removal work may require night-time hours with extensive
overtime and may occur on weekends and holidays.

Qualifications for the Position
- Knowledge of irrigation construction techniques and safety
practices.
- Must be eighteen years of age.
- Must have a picture ID and social security card. If not a
United States citizen, must have a valid visa or work permit
and social security card.
- Colorado driver's license is a plus.
- English is a plus.
