Opportunity: Irrigation Technician |
Purpose: This person services and troubleshoots
residential and commercial irrigation systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Work on ill defined, non-routine tasks under the supervision
of a project manager.
- Work on tasks which vary daily.
- Communicate task results and issues both verbally and written
in a timely manner as needed.
- Analyzes and solves problems independently.
- Specific responsibilities defined by supervisor and subject
to change.
Principal Problems/Challenges
- Developing and using efficient problem-solving techniques
to solve problems with cost-effective solutions.
Freedom to Act
- Work independently in response to problem reports or management
direction.
- Reasonable independent action or decision-making authority.
- Work within approved standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Must report all findings and actions to management.
- Observe all safety practices. Report all injuries to supervisor
immediately.
Scope
- Individual able to perform variable tasks including working
with both new construction and maintenance of existing irrigation
systems.
- Geographical area is typically the Front Range, Castle Rock
to Loveland, and west to Vail.
Work Environment
- Work is outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
- Work is primarily Monday - Friday; hours are subject to change
with weather conditions and work load. Overtime is common Spring
- Fall.
- Snow removal work may require night-time hours with extensive
overtime and may occur on weekends and holidays.

Qualifications for the Position
- Must be eighteen years of age.
- Must have a picture ID and social security card. If not a
United States citizen, must have a valid visa or work permit
and social security card. Colorado driver's license is a plus.
Command of the English is mandantory.
- Knowledge of irrigation construction techniques and safety
practices.
- 3 years experience trouble-shooting irrigation systems, preferable
along the Front Range.
