Purpose: This person analyzes client landscape
requirements and designs solutions by applying artistic skill,
plant knowledge and appropriate hardscape construction. Additionally,
this individual represents the company in frontline sales.
Job Responsibilities
- Respond to sales leads through appropriate communication methods.
- Analyze and designs landscape solutions.
- Provide oversight and guidance to foreman, project manager,
and crews implementing the design.
- Develop strong communication and maintains healthy relationships
with owners, site supervisors, builders and contractors on assigned
jobs.
- Maintain training to keep current with design trends, new
plant and hardscape introductions and construction methods.
- Obtain necessary signatures for change orders prior to beginning
work.
- Provide company with complete documentation and record-keeping
associated with jobs.
Principal Problems/Challenges
- Make plant selections appropriate for climate and local ecosystem.
- Balance creativity with strong communication capability.
- Balance needs/desires of the client with the quality and intent
of the company.
Freedom to Act
- Receive general direction from Top Management.
- Wholly responsible for comprehensive designs and plans.
- Work with Top Management to establish job constraints in accordance
with bid and communicates to client.
Scope
- Pursue both residential and commercial landscape design work.
Geographic range is typically the Front Range, Castle Rock to
Loveland and west to Vail.
Work Environment
- Home, office, at client site and outside in diverse weather
conditions.
- Normal work is Monday - Friday. Hours vary by season and work
load. Overtime may occur.

- Company-wide, vendors, subcontractors, site supervisors, property
managers, property owners.
Qualifications for the Position
- Degree in Landscape Horticulture and Design, Landscape Architecture,
and 2-4 years of local, successful landscape design on the Front
Range.
- Valid Colorado driver's license and social security card.
If not a United States Citizen, must additionally have a valid
visa or work permit. Effective bilingual skills (Spanish/English)
are desirable.
- Must have own vehicle for travel with reimbursement per IRS
guidelines.
- Proficient in AutoCad , strong drafting skills.
